At Full Function Rehab, we use the Dolphin Neurostim Device for the treatment of all types of scars, such as post-surgical scars and cesarean (c-section) scars. The Dolphin uses Microcurrent Point Stimulation (MPS) therapy - a non-invasive and efficient technique that releases low level electrical impulses to the scar and surrounding tissues. These impulses increase the tissues’ intercellular metabolism, protein synthesis, and healing function to accelerate the tissue's regeneration process. This process allows for an increase of tissue sensation at the scar level, improves scar mobility, and scar appearance. This technique, coupled with our hands-on scar tissue mobilization is a great option for scar healing.

Medical Acupuncture uses a different treatment philosophy than Chinese & Traditional Methods. Acupuncture is the practice of penetrating the skin with thin, solid, metallic needles which are then activated through gentle and specific movements of the practitioner's hands or with electrical stimulation. Acupuncture points stimulate the central nervous system and this then causes the release of chemicals into the muscles, spinal cord, and brain. These biochemical changes can then stimulate the body's natural healing abilities and promote physical and emotional well-being.
